Associate Platform Engineer, Monitoring Engineering

How you will make an impact: 

• Act as the first point contact for monitoring issues reported by users, escalate customer issues and complaint internally as required.
• Diagnose and resolve problems quickly. Communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.
• Administration and instrumentation of Application Performance Monitoring and Management (APM) tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Zabbix, ELK, Grafana stack, and Prometheus.
• Understand the Wiley JSM/OpsGenie platform and gain proficiency in day-to-day requests.
• Creation of dashboards and reports as well as provide deep-dive and root cause analysis on Performance issues.
• Build and administrate Kubernetes clusters and automate the deployments of components using FluxCD, GitHub, Helm Charts, ArgoCD etc.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipeline for monitoring requirements.
• Maintained monitoring infrastructure platforms.
• Help with design and implementation of infrastructure assets using AWS services, Terraform, Ansible.
• Research of automation related technologies.
• Work as a part of the scrum and development team.​​​​​​​

What we look for:

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant professional qualification(s).
• Strong experience with Linux administration, troubleshooting and scripting (Bash/ Python/ Go).
• Understanding of networking concepts and network protocols.
• Experience with AWS common services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, EKS)
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and technical appreciation skills.
• Knowledge in monitoring tools will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in Kubernetes will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in Prometheus and Grafana stack will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in ELK / ECK will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in OpsGenie/PagerDuty will be an added advantage.
• knowledge / experience on version controlling tool (Git/ GitHub)
• Fluency in English is highly desired along with able to work well with culturally diverse various technical groups.
