Consultant - Business Architecture

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Core Banking Implementation Domain Expert to join our team for a full-time, onsite position with our customer. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the banking domain with a balanced blend of technical and functional expertise. This role focuses on monitoring the project's progress, if the project is on track, and verifying if the test cases are comprehensive and effective.

Job Description

Project Monitoring:

• Act as the domain expert to oversee the implementation of the project's progress.
• Ensure that the project is aligned with the customer's business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on domain knowledge to ensure the project stays on the right track.

Technical and Functional Support:

• Assist in the design, configuration, and customization of the core banking system to meet the customer's needs.
• Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the implementation.
• Ensure that the core banking solution integrates seamlessly with the customers existing systems.
• Introduce best practice and industry standards.
• Ensure the implemented solution is future proofed in terms of its functionality.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with the customer's IT and business teams to ensure alignment and mutual understanding.
• Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and meetings with stakeholders to address concerns and provide updates.
• Prepare and present status reports, project documentation, and deliverables to the customer and internal management.

Person Specification 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Any banking related qualification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in core banking implementation projects.
• Proven track record in monitoring and supporting complex IT projects within the banking sector.
• Strong understanding of core banking systems (e.g., Temenos, Finacle, Flexcube, etc.).
• Proficiency in system configuration, customization, and integration.
• Knowledge of database management systems, SQL, and other relevant technologies.
• Familiarity with APIs, web services, and middleware.
• In-depth understanding of banking operations, products, and services.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and risk management in the banking industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in UAT processes and test case validation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and team collaboration capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and provide expert advice.
