1. Identifying the existing progress of areas of the business operation of the departments, branches and entire company, developing a comprehensive internal audit program for the company and carrying out financial, operational, and compliance audits in accordance with the internal audit program.
2. Analyzing and identifying risks related to key areas and weakness relating to controls and arranging solutions with the coordination of the department and branches.
3. Checking and ensuring all operations are complied with company Polices, CBSL requirements and local governing laws.
4. Meeting with Audit Committee to discuss and to obtain approvals of the department's scope annually and discussing/reviewing audit findings periodically and assisting Audit Committee to fulfill its duties and responsibilities.
5. Reviewing company practices and records for compliance with established internal policies and procedures and developing recommendations for improving internal controls, operating efficiency, and the adequacy of bank records and recordkeeping.
6. Conducting following-up reviews of financial, operational, or regulatory compliance deficiencies noted during audits and investigating on them.
The ideal candidate should possess:
1. Possess minimum 8 years audit experience in managerial level in the financial sector.
2. Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Accounting from a recognized university or member of CA Sri Lanka or any other professional accountancy institute
3. Should have an investigative mindset, with excellence knowledge of governance, risk internal controls, finance, accounting procedures and applicable standards.
4. Previous experience in data analysis and strong IT skills along with good writing skills.
5. Excellent team working and leadership skills.
