Description
As Intern – Supply Chain, you are responsible for the deployment of appropriate digital platforms in the Supply Chain value stream and enabling analytics and decision support within the Supply Chain function. You are also required to ensure coordination and synchronization with the Enterprise Architecture team and the Group Delivery team in developing right tools for the function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in developing and managing supplier relationships, including cost and operations-based negotiations
- Onboarding suppliers including system setup, contract loading, documentation practices, and ensure successful transition into the Direct Supply portfolio.
- Identifying and implementing process improvement strategies within team proactively.
- Participating actively as a resource on project teams and/or programmes to support business initiatives and objectives.
- Learning Supply Chain best practices and/or tools (e.g., forecasting, importing, distribution, cost modeling, logistics, value stream mapping, total cost of ownership, etc.)
Education
Graduate/Undergraduate in Statistics/Mathematics
Experience
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including high proficiency in Excel
A dynamic, self-motivated individual who is willing to take up challenges.
Knowledge in Scripting/Programming and Database will be advantageous.
