The selected candidates will play the crucial role of driving growth by identifying and acquiring new clients, building strong relationships, and implementing effective marketing strategies to position EFL 3PL as a trusted provider of 3PL services in Sri Lanka.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, logistics, or a related field. A master's degree in a relevant discipline can be an added advantage
- A solid understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles, including freight forwarding, warehousing. transportation, and inventory management. Familiarity with the complexities and challenges of the logistics industry is crucial
- Proven experience in lead generation, client acquisition, and successful business development.
- Strong negotiation, networking, and relationship-building abilities are essential for expanding the client base and driving revenue growth
- Up-to-date knowledge of the logistics and 3PL industry, including trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
- Understanding the needs and challenges of clients in the logistics sector is crucial for providing tailored solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas, negotiate contracts, and deliver persuasive presentations.
- Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for building relationships and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including solutions, operations, and finance to ensure seamless execution of client contracts. Leadership skills to guide and motivate team members and drive results
Experience:
Minimum 7 years of experience in marketing, business development, or sales roles, preferably in the logistics or supply chain industry. Experience specifically in the 3PL sector is highly desirable
Responsibilities of the position:
- Conducting market analysis to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitors. Gathering data on customer needs, preferences, and industry developments to inform marketing and business development strategies
- Generating leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital marketing.
- Identifying and targeting potential clients who can benefit from EFL 3PL's services
- Developing and implementing strategies to acquire new clients. Presenting the value proposition of EFL 3PL's services to prospective clients and conducting negotiations to secure contracts
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their business requirements, and providing personalized solutions. Ensuring client satisfaction, addressing concerns, and fostering long-term partnerships
- Developing and executing marketing campaigns to promote EFL 3PL's services. Utilizing various marketing channels, including digital marketing, social media, content creation, and email marketing, to raise brand awareness and generate leads
- Creating compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the needs of potential clients. Highlighting the unique features and benefits of EFL 3PL's services and demonstrating how they can add value to the client's supply chain operations
- Collaborating with the operations team to ensure seamless implementation of new client contracts. Providing guidance and support in aligning service offerings with client requirements
- Participating in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network with potential clients and industry professionals. Building relationships with key stakeholders and staying updated on industry trends and developments
