As a Merchandiser – Procurement, you will report to the Manager - Procurement. The role entails taking end-to-end responsibility for raw material (RM) sourcing, procurement, and quality assurance related to sewing and packing trims for the CBU. Given that the balance between cost and quality is more critical in this CBU compared to others, the role requires a comprehensive approach to optimize the entire value chain for customer satisfaction while ensuring continuous improvement in the profitability of the CBU. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company’s future plans and fostering the Brandix values and culture across all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor Key Performance Indicator (KPI) performance weekly and communicate necessary actions or controls to the respective team.
- Ensure real-time updates of the internal Raw Material status.
- Proactively drive suppliers for optimal performance and quality.
- Source and develop optimal trims for the CBU.
Education
A degree in Textile Engineering or a relevant field.
Possession of tertiary education in Logistics Management or a related stream, or a professional qualification (CIMA), will be an added advantage.
Experience
Good problem-solving capabilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.
Willingness to learn and a desire to work in a challenging environment.
Ability to work under pressure while efficiently prioritizing and managing tasks.
Possessing usable knowledge in ICT tools for process simplification and standardization (MS Excel, MS Project, Simulation, etc.) will be an advantage.
