Description
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, computer science, math, information technology, or related technical field.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in systems engineering.
- Knowledge and administration skills in Windows/Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with platforms and systems infrastructure such as PowerBI, Snowflake, Qlik View, and Qlik Sense, or willingness to learn.
- Experience in risk management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to oversee the implementation of a vision to enable new capabilities that meet user needs.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly, manage multiple priorities, and work independently.
- Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Red Hat Certified Engineer).
- Experience with incident response, post-incident reviews, and incident management processes.
- Deploy, manage, and ensure fault-tolerant infrastructure for current architectural platform.
- Automate maintenance, deployment, and management tasks using DevOps practices (Linux/ Windows).
- Plan and execute upgrades, migrations, and patching strategies.
- Implement security best practices and manage risks.
- Expertise in networking concepts and monitoring cloud apps.
- Act as a subject matter expert, contributing to various engineering tasks.
- Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Skilled in infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Participate in incident response and post-incident improvements.
- Document architecture and processes.
- Coordinate with teams to meet mission needs.
- Enhance system performance and efficiency proactively.
