Description
- Oversee multiple production lines to ensure smooth operation and adherence to weekly production schedules
- Ensure compliance with FSSC 22000 Food safety standards by supervisors
- Maintain optimal levels of raw materials and finished goods to meet production targets and demand
- Drive productivity in all production sections and maintain Total Quality Management (TQM) standards
- Supervise and guide factory floor workers, addressing minor maintenance issues as needed
- Maintain accurate records of all production activities
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in food science/animal science or related field
- Professional qualifications in quality management systems or productivity management preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in food manufacturing
- Basic understanding of TQM and exposure to GFSI certification schemes
- Proficiency in English and Sinhala
- Strong leadership, communication, and record-keeping skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems and machine maintenance/engineering concepts advantageous
- Excellent people skills, teamwork, work ethic, and ability to work independently
- Willingness to work long hours and located in the Biyagama area
