As Senior Executive – Occupational Health & Safety, you will be reporting to the General Manager – Operations of the plant. You will ensure that the plant achieves the required Health & Safety standards as per the local laws, customer and certification requirements.
Education
A recognized Degree in Engineering / Science, Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health/NIOSH or NEBOSH qualifications (Certification)
Experience
Minimum of two year’s work experience at a reputed organization in Industrial Safety & Occupational Health, covering areas of Risk Analysis and Incident/Accident Investigation covering areas of Risk Analysis and Incident/Accident Investigation
Effective time management skills and ability to perform under pressurized circumstances is imperative Personnel with chemical background is preferred
Industrial Safety & Health, Factory Compliance and fluency in English would be an added advantage.
- Achieve the Health & Safety standards in line with the Factories Ordinance, Customer Compliance standards & OSHA/ISO standards that will ensure the safety of the people and the plant
- Develop plans of action that aligns with the strategy outlined by the Health & Safety vertical and ensure that the agreed actions are carried out by the plant with optimum use of available resources and within the budget for plant Health & Safety activities, including trainings
- Ensure that workplaces conduct regular Health & Safety Inspections/Audit against the well-defined Audit protocol and submit the findings for Management meetings and recommendations, and ensure that improvements are implemented based on the Identified High Risk factors with recommended solutions to the Management for their information and perusal
- Ensure that all employees are competent to handle the areas they are responsible for and work with the relevant stakeholders to build a safety culture by designing and implementing safety campaigns, competitions and activities
