Specialist I - Business Systems Analysis

We are on the lookout for a Technical BA who would act as the primary point of contact between the software engineering teams in Sri Lanka and the Product/Business Management team with the responsibility of identifying, defining, refining, prioritizing, and managing requirement scope of product delivery.

How you will make an impact:

• Assess, review, plan, and define the required BA role for the intended product and stakeholders to maximize the value addition.
• Stay up to date with the strategic vision of the product and market to determine and prioritize business value in feature delivery
• Take ownership of end-to-end activities on requirement elicitation, analysis, requirement definition, refining, facilitation, and collaboration to garner customer acceptance in deliveries.
• Leverage Business Analysis and Agile practices to establish benchmarks and standards to optimize delivery and contribute to team betterment.
• Create and sustain effective relationships to optimize stakeholder engagement and commitment in product deliveries.
• Conduct requirement workshops and training for the BA team on the newest industrial trends.
• Define BA engagement strategy at the introduction of the product & stakeholders.
• Lead product/team roadmap prioritization with Product Management to plan for Product Increments.
• Lead requirement elicitation session to capture the problem context and solution intent.
• Lead requirement specification via analysis to convert problem context to solution context, design, and outline solution scope, and decompose solution intent.
• Lead feature prioritization in the team/product backlog to achieve an adequate mix of features and enablers.
• Manage requirement changes and clarifications during the implementation cycle to limit rework based on customer value.

What we look for:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferably in Computing or Information Technology
• 6+ years of pure BA exposure OR 4 years of pure BA exposure with at least 2 years of Dev/QE experience. Foreign project/client exposure in an Agile Delivery environment is a must.
• CSPO/PSPO, SAFe certifications (APM, POPM), CBAP/PMI-PBA will be an added advantage.
• Possesses experience in iterating on product designs from the initiation to the maintenance stage of a product.
• Ability to identify product scope and feature ramp-up plan to define the approach for KTs.
• Utilize UML or BPMN modelling techniques and tools to illustrate logical flows and sequences.
• Collaborate requirements in JIRA/Confluence/other artifacts as standard User Stories with Acceptance, business rules, and validations.
• Utilize requirement collaboration techniques to validate and disseminate solution scope to garner feedback and awareness from all relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing to verify whether each feature meets end-user acceptance.
